Doozle's story
Doozle is my pup with BIG feelings and the reactive dog who has inspired this space! We fostered and eventually adopted Doozle in 2024. And since Doozle is reactive to other dogs on walks, walks just really kinda stress him out sometimes (and me - IYKYK)! So I found other things to do with Doozle that would engage his brain AND build our bond.

What I found out is that he loves agility, training and learning! (And I love it too!) It has really helped to build his confidence and he is so good at it! I eventually bought a few things for my backyard and then one day I was looking for a private place to take him just to have a fun outing. I couldn't really find anything local so...

That's where Doozle's Den comes in! A place for ALL dogs to have fun!

All dogs deserve a special place!
This most adorable, playful, fun, special and wild boy that waited so long for his forever home has taught me so much about being kind, patient and understanding.
We expect so much from our dogs, but dogs are much like people in that they have different personalities. All of my dogs have taught me that and I love each of them as they are.
It is my hope that Doozle's Den is a safe and fun space
for ALL dogs and their humans.

I am a long-time animal rescue advocate. I have been a board member of Athletes for Animals since 2014, am currently the President of the Board at CARE STL and have been a volunteer dog walker for several years. Doozle's Den always welcomes our shelter friends!

I have been a personal trainer/coach since 2011 and a business owner since 2012 (Dragonfly Fitness & Training).

I do my best to give back where I can, and to live and love with purpose. I think Doozle's Den is definitely a reflection of that purposeful love and I hope you and your dog enjoy it!
